Amy + Brian

Thursday, April 30, 2009

I had such a great time working with Brian and Amy on their engagement pictures. We started things off right with a glass of wine at California Wine Merchants in the Marina then we went over to the Palace of the Fine Arts. With the help of Brian's iphone we were able to find the beach Amy was looking for. We were all exhausted at the end of the day, but we found the strength to enjoy some more wine at the Wine Room in Palo Alto.  Congratulations to Amy and Brian!

Alcatraz

Thursday, April 23, 2009

We had our first house-guest since we have moved to California, she had one request...to go see Alcatraz. I think it was worth the crowds and lines to see this notorious landmark. My favorite part was listening to the former prison guards and inmates tell their stories. According to one of the inmates the worst part of Alcatraz was the view. You can see the city and at times hear the voices of people living their lives in San Francisco.

Antler Magazine

Have you seen Antler Magazine? If not you should go check it out. They were nice enough to include one of my photographs in issue 2.

Spring in New England

I recently returned to California after a nice trip home to visit my family. Spring time is still pretty gray and cool in New England, but I love it.

Family time.

I hope the Easter bunny is good to you today!

Walking the dogs

Friday, April 10, 2009

I usually take the dogs for a long walk at about 7 and I try to bring my camera. It's fun exploring my new neighborhood.

Sometimes it rains in California.

We decided to take a trip to the Shoreline dog park, it's just a few miles away from our apartment. It's a pretty cool place with rolling hills and walking trails, I hope we can go back soon.

Trip to Carmel.

Our friends, Brian and Amy were nice enough to let us tag along on a trip to the Carmel area for some wine tasting and sight-seeing. We were lucky to have amazing weather, great company, and wine. Who could ask for a better way to spend a Sunday?

I live in California.

I can't believe I live in California, but it's true. I am slowly getting accustomed to my new life and I hope to update this blog daily with new photographs documenting my life so far.
